5 Things Every Undergraduate Should Know

This is an Era of Provisional Admissions, and while we are glad that you have been finally admitted to study your dream course or maybe not, We have decided to compile a list of time-tested but unpopular nuggets of advice. Enjoy and don't forget to share!

                                            1. Everyone Is Important

When I say everyone is important, I actually mean everyone! so if you have made up your mind on the kind of people you will talk to at the university or at your respective lectures, then you will miss out a lot.

This is because in life we are all connected in ways that are not usually obvious and direct. So, treat everyone you meet with courtesy and respect, you don't have to agree with their way of talking, dressing, hairstyle, and even religion but you have to respect them all the same.

That guy with a crazy hairstyle and sagged trousers might just be the brother to that intelligent student or the son to that lecture you have always wanted to meet. Understood?

2. Take Classes that Will Actually Help You

Be sincere how many times have you actually used calculus in your day to day activity?, what about organic chemistry? Atomic physics?.

These are unarguably important, but people became great without them. So, while paying good attention to your major course work, devote time for those courses that are essential to the day to day running of your life.

Courses: public speaking, Entrepreneurship, psychology, how to use basic computer programs like Word, Excel and Corel Draw might prove very relevant in the long run.

         3. Don't Take Your Course Too Serious

Please don't close this page! let me explain: of course, you should read as hard as you can, you should take notes, and submit assignments and projects. But don't be so caught up in all these that you forget to Live.
Make out time for your hobbies and other things that you really love or are interested in. In the long run, you never know how things may work out, you can't say between your hobbies and the course you studied which will put food on your table before.

Examples Abound of people whose hobbies proved more profitable than the course they studied: Fahlz the Bahd Guy studied Law, Rowan Atkinson  (Mr Bean) studied Electrical Engineering. Funke Akindele (Jenifa) studied law,and......................You Just might be next

4. There is A Real World out There:

The monotony of a student's life can be very deceptive. For some of us, schooling makes us believe that all we have to do to succeed in life is to read hard, copy assignments, attend classes and be cool. Right?

Wrong the real world is more than that. In the real world, there are bills to pay, there more severe repercussions for missing deadlines, the real world has taxes, the list is endless.

5. University Is Just the Beginning

As an undergraduate keep in mind that by the time you graduate your life will have only just begun. Learn as much as you can, make as many intelligent mistakes as you can, Learn from the experiences of others

BREAKING NEWS: Our Chemistry Text Is Coming Soon!

The much anticipated book: The Revealed Chemistry for Senior Secondary Schools and Colleges will be coming out very soon. This books promises to redefine the way chemistry is being taught, with concise presentations and plenty of 'wow' moments that will leave a ready student gasping for breath.

Here, let me give you some quick facts from the book:

Do you know that the process by which a gas changes directly to a solid is called: Deposition?

Or that elements that have the same number of neutrons are called Isotones?

What if i tell you that an isolated neutron is radioactive?

What if I...........................................................................?

If you must have just one Chemistry text, This is it!
